My baby brother, I loved to bits. He was such a character. He was so funny, he was like my best friend, I could tell him anything, a good listener.
James was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was a new baby, he was tested early as my mum had lost two little girls before me.
James died suddenly and unexpectantly. He had been to school, whilst I was in the womens Hospital in labour with my first child Heather. I had Heather at 00.25 on the 5th Feb. My mum and Chris was with me. We had phoned home to tell my dad and James I had the baby. My other brother Tony came to the hospital to pick my mum up, he said that he had spoken to my dad and he had said that James was not feeling well. When my mum got home she found that James had been rushed to Alder Hey. He had heamorraged from his liver and they was nothing they could do to save him.
James was kept on life support til we were all there, he died at 11.30 that day.
A LETTER FROM HEAVEN
As I sit here safe in heaven,
And watch you everyday,
I try to let you know with signs
I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing
And watch you as you sleep
I even place my arms aroud you
To calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away
As you beg to have me home
So I try to send you messages
So you know you're not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have a life
That was denied to me
Oh, heaven is truly beautiful
Just you wait and see.
Please live your life and laugh again
Enjoy yourself, be free
Then I'll know with every breath you take
You're taking one for me!XXX
